Founder

Hugo founded UndetectedGPT in Montréal in November 2024 and still writes most of the code, trains the models, and reads the support inbox. He started it after watching AI detectors flag writing that people had genuinely worked on.

How it started

UndetectedGPT began as a side project in late 2024, when AI detectors were being adopted faster than anyone understood their error rates. The first version was a single humanizer page. Since then it has grown into a detector, a writing workspace, an API, and a set of free tools, all built by a small founder-led team with no outside funding.

Which AI detectors does it work against?

Outputs are tuned and tested against the major detectors, including GPTZero, Originality.ai, Turnitin, ZeroGPT, QuillBot, and Grammarly. Pass rates are measured on every model release and published on the Ghost-2 page.

Does it change the meaning of my text?

The goal is to change the wording, not the meaning. A correction pass compares each output against your input, and you can request another version or boost a paragraph if something reads off.
